Colleen Lombard, an active member of the African National Congress (ANC), describes how she was arrested in August 1987 under Section 29 of the Internal Security Act during apartheid. She was later released on bail in January 1988, and charged with terrorism in what was termed the Rainbow Trial. After the unbanning of the ANC and Nelson Mandela's release, the charges against her and ten others were withdrawn.
