This book is not dated, but the section on Acknowledgements and Zulu Spellings included before Contents, as well as the lack of any specifications of a previous edition being printed are a clear indication that this is a first edition (published in 1953)
Hardcover, no dust jacket.
Good condition, spine shows shelf wear, spine tanned, inside front cover: the mesh is exposed along the folding line (see image below).
Back cover: the free end paper is glued to the back cover (see image below).
There are two signatures of the previous owner in the front of the book.
Internally clean and tightly bound.

Thomas Victor (T. V.) Bulpin (1918–1999) was a South African writer. He wrote 29 books and over 2,000 booklets, pamphlets, newspapers, magazine features, and travel videos. He wrote about African big-game hunters as well as South African travel and history. Most of his books are out of print.
