The Seaman is an early Russian heirloom. The tomatoes are a mahogany colour with olive green shoulders and grow on a bush. The texture is buttery and smooth and tastes wonderful. Outstanding for sandwiches and salad. Well marbled flesh is attractive when blanched and peeled. Beefsteak-type with rich flavor.
