Tomato

Tomato is a prolific grower and is great with salads and as an addition to soups, stews and other dishes.  Great with Basil.

If temperature is kept consistently and sufficiently warm, your tomato seeds will usually germinate within 5 to 10 days. Best to keep temperature range 21 to 27C. The lower the temperature the slower the germination. However, temperatures below 10C or above 35C are poor for germination. Seeds can be started in seedling trays and transplanted to the garden after the last frost of the year.

Tomato does not like too much water, so care should be taken to avoid over watering.  As the plant grows, it will need support, particularly when it fruits. Support each plant with a stake or trellis.

Minimum 30 seeds per pack.

All seeds are tested and grown on our farm in Malawi and our growing area in South Africa. Please check conditions in your area for the type of seed to be grown. Growth rates and germination times are dependent on many factors such as soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate and many more. Growth and harvest can be affected by these conditions.
