Be ordinary or artistic:

We supply top coats in a range of colours from white, charcoal, skyblue, deep blue to orange, pink, yellow and jakaranda-purple.

The easiest colour to work with is white top coat and that is what we will recommend from a practical point of view. White top coat do not change colour or fade as all other colours do.

Warning:

Dark or bright colours will fade over time.

To reduce the effect of fading and stains, ensure that the water's pH (7.2 - 7.6) and Total Alkalinity (80 - 120ppm) is kept within the ideal range.

BUT DO NOT let our warning dampen your artistic flair! Do something different and share your photos with us.

If you have just fibreglassed your pool or the old paint job is beginning to fade, it may be time for you to paint it. If you are wondering what paint to buy, you can't go wrong with Top Coat. Top Coat is used as the final coat of pool paint to seal and protect the underlying fibreglass mat from water.

As Top Coat is an epoxy paint it is the most durable type of pool paint, with an average lifespan of 6-8 years. Being an epoxy paint it must be mixed with 1% to 3% of catalyst to activate hardening. Epoxy paints are the best pool paint on the market, and the only paint suitable for inground fibreglass pools.

    Variety of Colours

Top Coat pool paints are available in a variety of colours. With standard colours like White, SkyBlue, and Clear Top Coat. Additionally, they have their non-standard colours which include Charcoal, Deep Blue, Cosmos Pink, Red, Yellow, Jacaranda-Purple, and more. Therefore, you can make your pool look ordinary or as artistic as you like with this range of pool paint.

It is worth noting that dark or bright colours will fade over time. Ensuring your water pH is between 7.2-7.6, and total alkalinity is 80-120ppm, can reduce the effect of fading. Alternatively, white top coat pool paint does not change colour or fade as other colours do. This is why a white top coat is an easy and practical colour to work with. However, don't let this dampen your artistic flair if you want a pool that will be your house's wow factor, make it a colourful affair to wow your guests.

    DIY

Painting your pool can be a fantastic weekend DIY project, especially if you want to get artistic with it. As with any work on a pool it is advised to consult a pool specialist to ensure you use the right pool paint and methods for your pool. Especially as the procedure can differ depending on if this is the first application of paint on new fibreglass or if you're repainting an older swimming pool. However, with the right advice, you can start your pool art project, and get the satisfaction that only comes from a DIY job done well.
