Description
Double bill of action dramas starring Tom Cruise as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell. In 'Top Gun' (1986) Maverick is a young fighter pilot enrolled at Naval college, training with the most gifted flyers of his generation and competing for the prestigious Top Gun award. Maverick soon establishes himself as one of the best in his class, but his insistence on doing things his own way soon brings him into conflict with his superiors and his main student rival Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky (Val Kilmer).
In 'Top Gun: Maverick' (2022), after serving for more than 30 years as one of the Navy's best test pilots and avoiding the advancement in rank that would see him grounded, Maverick begins training recent Top Gun graduates for a new mission. One of these pilots is Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick's late best friend Nick 'Goose' Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards). Maverick must confront his past and his fears as a mission that may demand the ultimate sacrifice from those involved draws near.
