Deputy Chairman of the Old Mutual and director of a number of companies. Saw active service in the Rebellion, S.W.A and G.E.A. Campaigns. Member of the R.A.F. in Britain and Europe. Awarded Military Cross, Chevalier Legion d'Honneur [France]; Cross of Merit Red Cross [Netherlands]. Twice mentioned in despatches, Awarded Brevet Major. Cambridge Rowing Blue.
