Mini Engraving Cutter

Shape: 2.0mm Reverse Taper
Tip Diameter: Ø2.4mm
Shank Diameter: Ø2.4mm

This Mini Engraving Cutter is a specialized precision tool featuring a 2.0mm reverse taper head, also widely known
as an inverted cone. This unique geometry is wider at the tip than at the base, making it the premier choice for
creating crisp, flat-bottomed grooves and sharp internal undercuts. Unlike standard ball or cylindrical bits, the
reverse taper allows for distinct architectural control, perfect for cleaning up edges or creating recessed seats
for inlay work.

The 2.0mm head diameter offers an ideal middle ground for detailers, providing enough surface area for efficient
material removal while remaining small enough for intricate patterns. It is particularly effective for 'seating'
stones in jewelry making or for carving geometric designs into hardwoods, plastics, and soft metals. The flat face
of the cutter ensures that the bottom of your engraved lines remains perfectly level, adding a professional,
polished look to any project.

For maximum stability and performance, this cutter is built on a 2.4mm shank. This robust shank size is the industry
standard for high-speed rotary tools and professional engraving handpieces, ensuring a secure, concentric fit. By
providing a solid foundation for the 2.0mm head, the shank helps to dampen vibrations and reduce 'chatter,' allowing
you to maintain a steady hand during delicate maneuvers or high-RPM tasks.

Crafted from high-quality materials designed for longevity, this mini reverse taper cutter maintains its sharp
profile even through repetitive use on tough surfaces. It is an essential addition to the toolkit of any jeweler,
model maker, or fine woodworker who requires precision undercutting and clean, flat-bottomed etching. Whether you
are refining a custom casting or adding texture to a miniature, this tool provides the reliability and specialized
shape needed for superior results.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary tool.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
