Mini Router Bit

Shape: V-Groove
Shank Diameter: Ø3.2mm
Tip Diameter: Ø6.4mm

This Mini V-Groove Router Bit is an essential precision tool for woodworkers, engravers, and hobbyists who require
sharp, clean lines on a miniature scale. Featuring a 6.4mm cutting diameter and a standard 3.2mm (1/8') shank, it is
perfectly sized for use with high-speed rotary tools and small-scale router attachments. Its slim profile makes it
the go-to choice for detailed work where larger bits would lack the necessary finesse.

The bit is specifically designed to cut a precise 90-degree V-shaped channel into the surface of your material.
Because it is a plunge-style bit, it allows you to start a cut anywhere on the workpiece, making it ideal for sign
making, decorative lettering, and faux-paneling on models. Whether you are engraving a custom nameplate or adding
geometric texture to a small project, this bit produces crisp, deep shadows that make your designs stand out.

Beyond its decorative applications, the V-groove bit is highly functional for technical tasks like chamfering edges.
By running the bit along the corner of a piece, you can create a clean, angled bevel that softens sharp edges and
adds a professional, mitered look. This versatility makes it a staple for architectural modelers and jewelry box
makers who need to add structural or aesthetic chamfers to delicate components.

Engineered for stability at high speeds, the bit features an optimized cutting geometry that reduces vibration and
prevents wood burning. It delivers smooth, burr-free results in hardwoods, softwoods, and plastics alike. Whether
you are freehand engraving or using a guided template, this mini V-groove bit provides the surgical accuracy and
control needed for high-definition micro-woodworking.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank of the rotary cutter is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved engraving accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary engraver.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
