Mini Router Bit

Shape: Chamfer
Shank Diameter: Ø3.2mm
Tip Diameter: Ø9.5mm

This Mini Cove Router Bit is a high-performance precision tool crafted for woodworkers and hobbyists who need to add
elegant, concave detailing to small-scale projects. Featuring a 9.5mm cutting diameter and a 3.2mm (1/8') shank, it
is perfectly sized for compatibility with high-speed rotary tools and miniature router attachments. This makes it an
essential choice for intricate applications like dollhouse trim, model ship building, or custom jewelry box edging.

The bit is designed to cut a smooth, hollowed-out 'cove' or 'scotia' profile into the edge of your workpiece. This
classic inward curve creates a sophisticated shadow line that adds visual depth and architectural interest to even
the smallest components. By pairing this cove cut with a matching round-over or bead, you can create complex, custom
moldings on a miniature scale that mimic full-sized cabinetry work.

Equipped with an integrated solid pilot guide, this bit ensures maximum control and consistency during the cutting
process. The pilot acts as a built-in guide that follows the edge of your material, allowing you to maintain a
perfectly uniform depth of cut without the need for a bulky router fence. This feature is particularly valuable when
working on curved pieces or delicate trim where precision is paramount.

Engineered for durability and balance, the bit's cutting geometry is optimized to handle high RPMs while producing a
clean, chatter-free finish. It performs exceptionally well in both hardwoods and softwoods, leaving behind a smooth
surface that requires minimal sanding. Whether you are adding a decorative edge to a miniature pedestal or creating
custom architectural trim, this mini cove bit provides the professional-grade results required for high-detail
craftsmanship.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank of the rotary cutter is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved engraving accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary engraver.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
