Mini Rubber Polishing Point

Shank Diameter: Ø2.4mm
Tip Diameter: Ø6.4mm
Shape: Cylinder

This Mini Rubber Polishing Point is a precision-engineered abrasive tool designed for the meticulous finishing,
smoothing, and pre-polishing of precious metals, alloys, and glass. Its resilient rubber composition is impregnated
with fine abrasives, allowing it to remove light scratches and oxidation while leaving a uniform, professional
surface.

The tool features a 6.4mm cylindrical head that provides a stable, flat contact surface. This shape is particularly
effective for refining flat planes, squaring up edges, or reaching into tight internal corners where a rounded bit
might not reach. With a 6.4mm tip diameter, it offers the perfect balance of surface coverage and nuanced control
for delicate workpieces.

For seamless integration into your workshop, the point is built on a 2.4mm shank. This is the industry-standard size
for most rotary tools, micromotors, and flexible shaft machines, making it a versatile choice for jewelers, dental
technicians, and hobbyists alike.

Because the rubber is designed to be slightly flexible, it conforms to subtle contours while maintaining its
structural integrity under pressure. This flexibility helps minimize heat buildup during high-speed rotation,
protecting your materials from thermal damage and ensuring a consistent, satin-to-bright finish every time.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank of the rotary cutter is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved engraving accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary engraver.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
