Mini Sanding Disc

This Mini Sanding Disc is a high-performance precision accessory designed for the final refinement of intricate
workpieces. Featuring a compact 19.1mm (3/4') diameter and a 240-grit (240G) abrasive surface, it provides an
ultra-fine finish that is essential for high-end craft and restoration projects. Specifically optimized for
high-speed rotary tools, this disc allows for meticulous surface smoothing in confined spaces and complex geometries
where larger sanding tools would be too aggressive or cumbersome.

The 240-grit rating represents a very fine abrasive grade, making it the ideal choice for 'pre-polish' stages or
between-coat sanding. On wooden projects, it is perfect for removing the microscopic fuzz (grain raise) that occurs
after wetting or sealing, resulting in a surface that feels like glass. For metalworkers and jewelers, it serves as
an excellent tool for removing light surface oxidation and blending fine scratches into a uniform, satin-matte
finish before transitioning to buffing compounds.

Durability and consistency are at the core of this discâs design. The abrasive grains are evenly distributed and
securely bonded to a resilient backing that resists tearing and heat-induced deformation at high RPMs. This
specialized coating is engineered to minimize 'loading'â"the buildup of dust and debrisâ"ensuring that the disc
maintains its cutting efficiency throughout its lifespan. Its small footprint allows the user to apply light,
targeted pressure, which is vital when working with delicate veneers or thin-walled 3D prints.

Whether you are perfecting the finish on a custom musical instrument, smoothing a miniature architectural model, or
prepping a precision-machined part for a final coat of lacquer, the 240G mini sanding disc delivers
professional-grade clarity. It bridges the gap between functional sanding and aesthetic polishing, providing the
surgical control required for high-definition craftsmanship.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank of the rotary cutter is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved engraving accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary engraver.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
