Mini Tungsten Carbide Cutter

Tip Diameter: Ø2.4mm
Shank Diameter: Ø3.2mm
Shape: Ball

Achieve a new level of intricate detail with the 2.4mm Mini Tungsten Carbide Ball Cutter, a precision-engineered bit
designed for the most delicate carving and hollowing tasks. The small, spherical ball shape is perfectly suited for
creating tiny dimples, engraving fine lines, and seating small gemstones with absolute accuracy. Its ability to cut
in any direction makes it a favorite for artists and technicians who need to sculpt fluid, organic shapes within a
confined workspace.

This cutter features a 2.4mm tip diameter paired with a heavy-duty 3.2mm shank, providing a robust foundation that
reduces the risk of tool flex or breakage. This 'necked-down' design allows for superior visibility around the
cutting head, ensuring you can see exactly where the bit meets the material. The universal 3.2mm shank ensures
seamless compatibility with almost all standard rotary tools and high-speed handpieces.

Manufactured from high-grade tungsten carbide, this tool is built for longevity and extreme performance. It stays
sharp significantly longer than standard steel bits, even when working on challenging substrates like hardened
steel, precious metals, hardwoods, and glass-reinforced plastics. The precision-ground flutes are designed to clear
chips efficiently, which prevents heat buildup and ensures a clean, smooth finish without the need for extensive
secondary sanding.

This 2.4mm ball cutter is a vital tool for jewelers, dental lab technicians, and micro-modelers. Whether you are
hollowing out a delicate wax mold, deburring tiny mechanical components, or adding micro-textures to a sculpture,
this carbide burr provides the industrial strength and surgical finesse required for high-stakes, high-detail
craftsmanship.

Fitting the tool bit

The shank is securely locked in place by fitting
it in the corresponding collet or making use of a keyless chuck.

For improved accuracy, make use of a flexible
shaft connected to the rotary tool.

Rotation speed:

Most rotary tools have the benefit to adjust the rotation speed. Many tool bits that fit in rotary tools have a maximum speed setting. This can normally be found on the packaging.

All materials react differently to speed and will need the tool bit to rotate slower.
It is recommended to start using accessories on the slower speed first, before increasing the speed as needed.

The diameter of the tool bit fitted also determines the rotation speed. The larger the diameter, the slower the speed. If the speed is set too high, it could bend the shank/shaft resulting in injury.
