                                                                                       AN INTRODUCTION

 

I am based in Cape Town and started painting nearly twenty years after I discovered that I have been blessed with this unique talent. Most of my painting skills are self taught although I had formal classes as well. 

I have sold work both locally and abroad to corporate companies. Most of my paintings are on consignment and I love to do large paintings with all the freedom and possibilities that they bring, but lately I have done smaller ones on request of some of my clients.

I feel fortunate to live in Cape Town and are thus surrounded by beautiful landscapes, particularly the beaches, mountains and wine lands which inspires me in my painting. The Karroo landscapes must be one of my favorite subjects to paint due to the rich colors and contrasts.  I mostly use subject matter that are recognizable like famous landmarks, but with my own creative interpretation..

Sometimes I use texturing in my paintings; one of my dreams still is to do sculpturing.

THE PURPOSE OF MY PAINTINGS IS TO BLESS OTHERS, AS I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THIS GOD         GIVEN TALENT WHICH I FEEL IS MY CALLING TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD.
