A Painter and graphic artist of landscapes, seascapes, portraits and stilllife. Works in pastel, oil, watercolour, ink, pencil, charcoal and in variousgraphic media, particularly monotypes.
Studies: 1937-40 Witwatersrand TechnicalCollege, under James Gardner.
Profile: 1947-60 lived in Pretoria; from 1960in Cape Town. Has travelled extensively throughout SA. Father of James Madge.
