DESCRIPTION
A desirable Transvaal mint stamp lot comprising both mounted mint and unmounted mint examples, spanning the period 1895 to 1908. The collection includes the celebrated Penny Postage commemorative issue, E.R.I. overprints of the Anglo-Boer War period, and King Edward VII definitive stamps. All stamps are identified by Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers where applicable and represent an attractive addition to any Transvaal, British Empire, South African, or colonial philatelic collection.

SG 215c One Penny Red (Pale to Deep Shades)
Issued 6 September 1895 to commemorate the introduction of Penny Postage in Transvaal. Lithographed by the Printing Press and Publishing Co., Pretoria. No watermark. Perforation 11.
Four (4) unmounted mint examples are included, comprising varying shades from pale to deep red, including one marginal copy. A desirable representation of this commemorative issue.
