1. NGOMO / ZAR / 5 JAN '96.
Putzel rates this postmark (type 1) as "RRR".
This was the original spelling on an 1890's SG map of a farm where NGOME now stands in the Vryheid district of Natal.
NGOMO was situated in the old NIEWE REPUBLIEK which was incorporated into the ZAR in 1888 and transferred to Natal in 1902.
Known strikes are dated 5 Jan 1896 with "ZAR" at the base.
As per scans below and sold as is in the damaged state in respect of the 2nd and 3rd items.
2. SPRINGS Ornate rectangle with name above single line date and "TRANSVAAL" below.
Possibly an Imperial Military Railways canceller.
So scarce that no illustration is shown in Volume 9 of the "The Postmarks of South Africa".
Note the rounded corner to adhesive.
3. CHRISTIANA 14 DEC 00 32 mm diameter rubber provisional rubber postmark from the Boer War usually found in puple or red.
Possibly the earliest recorded strike as most are dated in 1901.
Note the damaged stamps.
