Dampstain along top edge, light crease running along edge on rear panel. A few isolated spots of faint foxing on front panel; very light rubbing to edges of boards, however with light scuffing of outer cloth layer near corners of front panel, head and foot. Corners bumped but not frayed. Lettering on spine still crisp in gold. Top of spine bumped but not scuffed. Damp-stain running along top edge of front and rear free endpapers; broad band of faint age-toning to front and rear free endpapers, no foxing. Two faint water stains to fore-edge of rear free endpapers. Faint brown water stain affecting all leaves of text-block, limited to very outer edge of page margins (5mm). Slight buckling noticeable in top edge throughout. Thin brown stain running along fore-edge of last two leaves. No mold or moldy smell whatsoever. Text block otherwise bright, clean and crisp. Binding tight, text complete, no loose or missing pages, no tears. No inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no marginalia.

Dust Jacket: Water stain running along top edge, out- and inside. Lower corner of front cover and foot of spine water stained, out- and inside. Otherwise clean and bright. Light creasing at upper and lower edges near spine and hinges, lightly rubbed. A 25mm closed tear to foot of front cover.
