RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

GENERIC Plain white/black sleeve or a sleeve that is not theoriginal issued with the single.

MINT/NEW- Record itself is in brand new condition with no surfacemarks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such asthe lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertisedas sealed or un-played would be classed as mint. 

EXCELLENT- Record shows signs of having been played, but there is verylittle lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slightwear or creasing. 

VERY GOOD- Therecord has obviously been played many times but displays no major deteriorationin sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional lightscratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items. Without any majordefects is acceptable. 

GOOD - The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeablydeteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover andcontents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolourationetc. 

FAIR - The record is still just playable but has not been cared forproperly and displays considerable surface noise,etc. The cover and contentswill be torn, slightly stained and/or defaced.

POOR - The record will not play properly due to scratches, badsurface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partlymissing.
