Trinidad Scorpion Butch T - 10 Seeds - Chili / Chile / Chilli Pepper

Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper is a chili pepper that was measured as the world's hottest chilli pepper from April the 12th 2011 until February 16th 2012. The pepper is a particular strain of Trinidad Scorpion which is named after Butch Taylor, the owner of a hot sauce company. The "scorpion" peppers are referred to as such because the pointed end of the pepper is said to resemble a scorpion's stinger. As of April 12, 2011, the world's hottest pepper according to Guinness World Records was a specimen of Naga Viper pepper. A laboratory test showed a specimen of Trinidad Scorpion Butch T at 1,463,700 Scoville heat units, making it hotter than a specimen of the Naga Viper's at 1,382,118.

On the 16th of February 2012 the Butch T was displaced as the hottest pepper in the world by the Moruga Scorpion which we also stock!
