TRUELY EXCEPTIONAL RARE? OR VERY VALUABLE DOUBLE SIGNED MOORCROFT POTTERY, FRUITS VASE

All I can say is magnificent. This is a fascimile signed William

Moorcroft and signed (full signature) by Walter Moorcroft piece. The

significance is explained on the base photo. Measures approximately

height 16.5cm and the circumference belly 49cm

Condition as photographed and seems good.

Walter Moorcroft retired in 1987 and  died 2/9/2002. William Moorcroft

(founder) passed away in 1945. Interesting history. Please google

The vase is dark blue base

Fruits and leaves

The impressed mark with fascimile signature (William Moorcroft)

and having "Potter to H M Queen" at bottom & made in England

is indicative of being made between 1928 and 1949. The additional

full signature which is that of Walter Moorcroft could also put it

between 1947 and 1953. Due to the overlap would

say this vase could fit between 1947 & 1949. PLEASE NOTE THAT

THE FULL SIGNATURE MARK OF WALTER WAS ONLY USED

ON IMPORTANT PIECES, ONE OFF PIECES FOR EXHIBITIONS OR

LIMITED EDITIONS making this a very sought after special piece
