TRULY MAGNIFICENT BALL & CLAW POSSIBLY STINKWOOD CABINET

You are bidding on a truly magnificent Ball & Claw Cabinet with STUNNING wood carvings that could very well be made of Stinkwood. I have loaded plenty of pictures for the viewer to decide for him/herself. There is only a small piece of the wood carving missing on the one side and this could easily be corrected with a small mould or added carving and it is not that noticeable at all. This piece belonged to a pensioner that never married nor had any children and came from a very wealthy Durban family and judging from the superior quality of the worksmanship of this piece, it must have costed quite a bit in its hayday. The piece is very heavy and the measurements are as follows: 120cm length, 56cm width with a height of 89cm. It is hollow inside where the radio/turntable/speaker used to be and it was probably covered with material behind the carvings can can no doubt be converted in an amazing liquor cabinet etc . The tops also lifts up.
