The society garlic, Tulbaghia violacea, is a hardy perennial native to the grasslands and rocky slopes of South Africa. It is widely grown as both an ornamental and useful garden plant due to its attractive flowers, drought tolerance, and ability to thrive in a variety of conditions.
This species forms dense clumps of narrow, strap-like grey-green leaves that release a garlic-like scent when crushed. Plant into a 15cm to 20cm pot and water in well. Extremely tough and won't mind being placed directly into harsh sun as long as you keep it watered. Grows like a weed
