VINTAGE 1947 TUSCAN FINE BONE CHINA HARLEQUIN WHITE TEA TRIO - R.H & S.L PLANT

THE R.H & S.L PLANT WAS FORMED BETWEEN RICHARD HAMMERSLEY PLANT AND HIS BROTHER SIMON LUCAS PLANT IN 1898 AT THE TUSCAN WORKS IN LONGTON WHICH THEY EVENTUALLY PURCHASED OUTRIGHT IN 1914. IN 1915 THE FIRM BECAME AN Ltd. IN 1966 THE R.H & S.L PLANT WAS TAKEN OVER BY WEDGWOOD AND RENAMED "ROYAL TUSCAN". THE WORKS WERE CLOSED PERMANENTLY IN 2006

THE HARLEQUIN SERIES MANUFACTURED BY R.H & S.L WAS RELEASED IN 1947 AND RETAILED IN THE INDIVIDUAL COLORS WHICH INCLUDED HARLEQUIN WHITE, PINK, BLUE, GREEN AND YELLOW. THIS GORGEOUS FINE PORCELAIN TEA TRIO IS THE HARLEQUIN WHITE. THE TEACUP HAS A GOLD COVERED PEDESTAL BASE WHILE THE SCALLOPED RIMS OF ALL THREE ITEMS ARE PROMINENTLY DECORATED IN GOLD TRIM

THIS IS A LOVELY FINE PORCELAIN TEA TRIO COMPLETE WITH THE FOLLOWING ITEMS -

1)- A TEA CUP WITH PEDESTAL BASE - 7cm HEIGHT.....4.4cm DIAMETER OF BASE.....8.2cm DIAMETER OF RIM

2)- A SAUCER - 2.4cm HEIGHT.....6.5cm DIAMETER OF BASE.....14cm DIAMETER OF RIM

3)- A TEA PLATE - 1.8cm HEIGHT.....9cm DIAMETER OF BASE.....17.5cm DIAMETER OF RIM

CONDITION : THE TEACUP HAS A CRACK IN THE GLAZING NEAR BENEATH THE HANDLE WHICH IS ONLY THROUGH THE GLAZING AND NOT PORCELAIN ASIDE FROM WHICH ALL THREE ITEMS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS, CRAZING, CHIPS OR DAMAGES
