The splendid crown commemorates Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's 80th Birthday. The obverse of this legal tender crown depicts the fine Arnold Machine portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The reverse has been designed by Professor Richard Guyatt and features a portrait of the Queen Mother in the centre surrounded by a radiating pattern of symbolic bows and lions which are an allusion to her family name.

The coin is housed in a beautifully illustrated presentation folder.
