Two hand-painted porcelain figurines of little girls reading, style reminiscent of Hummel.
No maker's marks, probably made in Japan in the early 1950's.
No chips or crazing, some rubbing and scratches to painted surface. Approximately 15cm height X 10.5cm width at base. The one is markedly paler than the other. I have tried to take detailed pictures in order for the buyer to make an informed decision. These two are incredibly cute. I believe they were sold as book ends.
I prefer using recycled packaging materials as far as possible.
