Two large, valuable First editions - The Birds of Tropical West Africa by David Armitage Bannerman

From 1930 to 1951 David Armitage Bannerman published eight volumes on the subject - volume one in 1930 and volume eight in 1951.  Published under the Authority of the Secretary of State for the Colonies by The Crown Agents for the Colonies, this is volume six (first published in 1948) and volume seven (first published in 1949) Two large hard cover books with dustcovers measuring 27cm x 19.5cm and with 364 and 413  pages respectively.  Dust covers covered in such a way as not to damage the books (no sellotape touching actual book) and books are in clean, neat, tightly bound condition.    Refer images
