Ermelo High School has a rich rugby history that spans 110 years. Volume I (Hard cover, 212 pp) covers the period 1920-2000; while Vol II (soft cover, 40 pp) covers the period 2001-2014. Both volumes are profusely illustrated with black and white and colour photographs.
Ermelo HS has produced multiple Springboks in both the 15-man code (Nico Bosman (1924); Ernst Dinkelmann (1951-1953); Johan Wassenaar (2000); Henno Mentz (2004)) as well as the 7-man code: Abri Pretorius, MJ Mentz and Impi Visser; as well as more than 80 senior provincial rugby players; and senior provincial coaches: Jimmy Stonehouse and MJ Mentz
The school has produced two test referees; father and son, Johnny and Bertie Strasheim; and a long line of top-flight rugby administrators.
