Two Vintage Steel Cookie Mould Pans Made in England and USA

TWO VINTAGE STEEL COOKIE MOULD PANS. SMALLER ONE MADE IN ENGLAND. THE SMALLER MOULD HAS A SEA CLAM AND LEAF DESIGN EMBOSSED IN 4 OF THE COOKIE MOULD AREAS. THE LARGER COOKIE MOULD PAN IS MARKED ACME AND WAS MADE IN THE USA.
 
The name ACME has been used since the late 1800s for as long as there have been consumer goods. It sort of means "best." Through the years many companies have used this term in their product names. The company that produced our pan made many kitchen related items out of metal, including, cooking pans and stoves. The pans are generally made of tin and were produced many times with the original patent date of 1876 for many years so its unclear exactly when it was made. The Acme Shear Company, started in Connecticut, USA, in 1876. They were a prolific manufacturer of many metal items, including shears, scissors, and cutlery.
