SABS approved Super Run-Time Ultratec Emergency & Camping lanterns are a must for home or outdoor use. The set is supplied with Two Lanterns, two 220V charging cables and a split 12V DC charging cable all in a neat storage bag with a shoulder strap. This lantern has a fold down carry handle and can be wall mounted. The 24 LED Lantern will produce light for 50 hours from a full charge, and the 4 LED Flashlight function will run for 100 hours. If the unit is in either of the on positions (Lantern or flashlight mode) and is plugged in to a power source, the light will not shine, however as soon as there is a power failure, the light will come on automatically. This Lantern has built in over charge and discharge protection circuits. The AC 220 Volt and DC 12 Volt charging cables are included, allowing you to charge the unit in a vehicle with a 12V cigarette adaptor or in a house with a 220V power outlet. The Ultratec lantern uses a 6V 4Ah Sealed Lead Acid battery which can be replaced. An important point to remember is Battery care: With proper care sealed lead acid battery will last 4 to 5 years before replacement is required. Neglecting to recharge immediately may cause battery damage, requiring batteries to be replaced. Lead-acid batteries do not like to be completely discharged and then re-charged again. Once the unit has been used it must be charged as soon as possible. The battery unit may be left on charge for indefinite periods of time (this will not damage the battery). By re-charging the unit after each period of use you will ensure the best possible battery life. The unit must be charged every three months if not in use. As batteries are consumable, they are not guaranteed. The batteries can be replaced. Batteries and globes are guaranteed to be operational at the time of purchase. Remember that batteries and globes are consumables, and are not covered by guarantee as we have no control over their operating times and conditions of use. | ||
