This is a lovely pistol, featuring an all polymer two-piece assembly, comprised of the slide, that is retained by means of a set of roller pins. The actual body / mechanical working of the body is all-metal insofar as construction is concerned. This all is seated into the polymer frame, retained by several more roller pins.
We do appreciate the ergonomy on this pistol - the scallops on the handle fore allows for easier clasping, w/ broadened out backstrap for the heft of one's palm to push in against. There is some light stippling on the grip panels and it does lend for a fair bit of traction to one's palm.
The exterior shell itself features numerous automatic pistol moulded-in features, to lend a sense of realism to the marker - ejection port moulded in w/ an horizontal extractor, ambidextrous slide catch, slanted cocking serrations, slide ambidextrous magazine release and what might have been a TAURUS PT92 styled frame-mounted safety lever. There is even a little beaver tail high on the backstrap ridge, though not for a hammer, but instead, allows you to more comfortably grap the handle a tad higher, closer to the slide. The base of the handle, likewise features a backstop, in the form of a 'magazine floorplate', which, in tandem w/ aforementioned ergonomy, does allow for a lovely purchase on the pistol.
The nice thing we like about this pistol as well, is how SLEEK it is and consequently, how easy it would conceal under your shirt. It certainly was designed with this in mind - now you just need to mind not hitting the bumpcap on accident when, for example, getting in and out of your vehicle, then you'll be good to rock n roll!
Otherwise, this pistol features no tradtional automatic pistol safety - only a double blade trigger safety as you'd have on a GLOCK® pistol as well as Cannik and other Turkish imitations. You basically have to pull both trigger blades in order to discharge the gun and to effect this, your finger needs to be inside the trigger guard. It is therefore assumed that, if your finger is inside of the trigger guard, your muzzle is already directed at what you intend on shooting.
This pistol fires double action only, though don't underestimate the trigger force that needs to be defeated to fire a shot off; there is a crisp take-up of the trigger, followed by the break, that sets the shot off.
As for the magazine - it fits paralell to the barrel into the frame itself, where the blowback rod and spring would normally be. The breech sits under the barrel, where the rearward stretch of the Picatinny strip would normally be. The rounds insert here, one at a time, though please consult your instruction manual on how this is done - the magazine follower has to be retracted completely against the spring tension, to the front, where said follower hitches onto. Thereafter, you can insert your shot one at a time, up to a total of 6x. Thereafter, reset the magazine follower, which will then apply the necessary spring tension to feed the shot through one at a time. Please be careful to use only caliber-specific shot and avoid lower quality rounds / rounds that have a pronounced seam line as they may jam up.
When clearing out a jam or any such thing, PLEASE BE SURE to degass the marker first, lest you might shoot you or someone else's eye out. Troubleshooting like this, must always be done once the marker is depressurized.
In terms of sights - there are a set of fibre-optic insert sights, two rear and one front, which, once lined up, will provide you w/ a sight picture.
Whilst this pistol features a smoothbore barrel and fires shot nonetheless, quite accurately at that - just mind the trigger pull barrel jerk as you shoot, hold the pistol firmly so as to prevent your shots going off target, then you'll be able to score your shots onto a coffee tin sized target @ 20 meters away. Otherwise, for the most part, scoring your shots onto a torso sized target @ 10 meters away is.
Otherwise, we have the typical T4E bump cap at the base of the handle that, once whacked, presents the embedded lance into the capsule seal, piercing it and pressurizes the marker, whereafter the nub where the hammer on the pistol would normally sit, protrudes to indicate that the marker is pressurized.. Thereafter you'll be good for your 18 shots, whereafter the pressure in the capsule would have thinned out to the point that you would really only be wasting your ammunition if you continue shooting, although, in an emergency and up to five meters, they would still be potent.
