UMAREX HDR50 T4E Home Defense Revolver
(On special request, we can upgrade this revolver for you to the open power (16 J) variant. This does not involve making irreversible modifications to the gun, just removing the flow inhibitor (which we send to you with your HDR50). Be aware that this will reduce your effective shot count from 3 magazines, to 2 magazines and likewise, that the shot report will be significantly louder. The muzzle velocity as a consequence, is appreciably increased, allowing you to nail your monster weighted SLUGMAKER hot glue slugs downrange at greater distances! In terms of self defence, please try to keep to the rubber and pepper balls supplied here. We perform this upgrade for you solely at your behest, and the responsibility that goes in hand with greater power, goes without saying..)
Black Tactical .44 magnum appearance, large, imposing barrel, not recessed. Made entirely of polymer, lightweight.
Calibre: .50 / 12.7mm, variety of options, ranging from nylon, pepper and glass breaker
Featureless notch-and-blade open sights
Decorative ribbon slits running horizontally above barrel. "T4E" (Training for engagement) and HDR 50 stamped on the front-left of the muzzle, "UMAREX ", "cal. .50" with e serial number printed in white beneath aforementioned. Gun is a two-part mould screwed together on the right side. Features rounded square and oblong outlines to break up the seemingly plain appearance and lend pleasing aesthetic.
350 FPS w/ 2.5g ball rounds, can exceed 400 FPS margin w/ lighter/regular ball rounds
Double trigger blade safety, which manufacturer claims will prevent shot from discharging if gun is dropped. However, please note that this gun can shoot through watermelon with a glass breaker round and penetrate pumpkin shell with a nylon round, both at a distance. Therefore, do not store this gun pressurized at any time
Powerplant: 12g CO2 cartridge which fits vertically upside down into vertical slot inside handle. Cartridge is secured w/ screw cap, which can be fastened w/ a firm twist. Has slotted head for hex drive, compatible w/ hex key supplied for sure-fit but can be fixed with hand torquing alone. Cartridge is dormant and not pierced until the screw cap base is lightly bumped. See red ring at base of cap. When cartridge is pierced, a steel nub will protrude at appex of handle nape where hammer usually is, to indicate gun is pressurized. Please treat the gun as hot whenever that nub is protruded. To depressurize after use, the nub may be pulled or pushed in order to safely depressurize
CO2 economy: 18 good shots, due to gun's large consumption per shot to produce high ft-lbs energy
Magazine: 6-shot rotary clip inserted into fixed cylinder, one way only, secured by sliding retention. To remove or insert the rotary clip, the sliding retention needs to be notched into the catch at the front.
Double action only, trigger rotates both the rotary clip and fires off a shot in one cycle.
Ergonomic handle; plastic over-moulded handle w/ scallop finger groove contour. Grip panels are rubber for positive right and left palm handling. Has matching collar panel for the nape between firing hand's index-thumb grip
Has picatinny railing ontop and under the barrel for mounting optics, featuring 5 slots each. The underbarrel rail extends slightly over 80mm however; Laser pointer and open reflex sight works well with this gun at 10 - 20 m, it has sufficient accuracy for this. Can score 1 foot grouping at 15m w/ one magazine / six shots. Attachments recommended for night-time home defense, out in the yard, plot etc.
