Vintage Wade Hand Painted Lidded Chintz Ceramic Cannister Uncommon

A stunning floral lidded jar/pot from Wade Potteries 

This could be used for jams, biscuits or as a purely decorative piece.

It is hand painted with flowers and gold chintz on a raised basket weave background.

The delightful chrome lid is topped by a square lucite/perspex finial containing a perfectly formed pink rose.

The mark was used from about 1953.

It measures 13cm high by about 14cm wide 

In very good condition for its age, with no chips or cracks. There is the usual age-related crazing but the outside glaze is in fine condition. The chrome lid is also in very good condition with only slight signs of ageing.
