As per scan(s) below.

In the First World War the 1st Rhodesia Regiment was formed in October 1914, initially consisting 

of 20 officers and 500 men. It was sent to the Cape where it saw service in the South West Africa

campaign under General Louis Botha. A 2nd Rhodesia Regiment was formed in November and was 

sent to British East Africa. The 1st was disbanded in July 1915 with many joining the 2nd.
