The 1936 Johannesburg International Philatelic Exhibition ("JIPEX") was celebrated with an issue of two miniature sheets - the 1/2d Springbok and 1d Ship - in a six stamp format.
Rather than design a new item, the 1935 Booklet sheet was taken and overprinted with "JIPEX / 1936".
The margins were then printed with the title of the exhibition in English in the left margin and Afrikaans on the right. Each pane had 21 sheets with the 1d having two different settings.
Below are 7 mint 1d sheets and 3 used 1/2d sheets as well as a cover.
All different - some with shifted overprint and imperforate right hand margins, Some toning and hinge remainders.
