The Union of South Africa issued a single stamp on 4 November 1910. There were no further issues until 1 September 1913.Issues of the Cape of Good Hope, Natal, Orange River Colony and Transvaal were officially authorised for interprovincial usage between 19 August 1910 and 31 August 1913. Examples of stamps bearing legible interprovincial cancellations are scarce and stamps bearing clearly dated cancellations even scarcer.This lot contains 24 stamps bearing INTERPROVINCIAL cancellations. Some are exceptionally fine examples. It should be noted that this lot contains several examples with full dates visible. This is of the utmost importance to the collector of Interprovincials.
