Received at "NEWLANDS / JOHANNESBURG" on 10 August 1929 - earliest known strike on cover - but unclaimed and with manuscript "Gone away" and then receivedat the "RETURNED LETTER OFFICE / JOHANNESBURG" on 12 August 1929.
NEWVILLE post office only opened on 11 January 1926
