Unique Antique/ Vintage Brass Pixiu with Bowl
Initially I thought it might be an ashtray, but the size and depth of the bowl and the purpose of a Pixiu indicated that it held something more precious ie, gems, ingots etc
Another hybrid like the Qilin, a Pixiu is a winged lion. This strong protector beast is associated with wealth and fortune, given that it eats nothing but silver, gold and jewels
