Very rare and unusual 1968 Omega Geneve Chronostop Drivers Watch Ref. 145.010. Personally bought from Kurt Buser in Newlands in 1969. It is like new.
Single pusher chronostop. This model reference 145.010 was designed to be worn underneath the wrist and intended for use by racing drivers. This particular model is a rare one with the dial offset 90 degrees clockwise. Manual wind movement, calibre 865.
Case dimensions: 39mm by 35mm. Stainless steel case on a mesh bracelet. Plexi glass. Grey coloured dial with silver coloured markers. Orange coloured chronostop hand
The watch is completely original and runs very well. Comes with the optional mesh bracelet which cost almost as much as the watch at the time!
It is called a driver's watch as it can be worn under the wrist to make using the stopwatch easier. See Omega catalog picture below.
