A WONDERFUL CLAY TROLL FAMILY CREATED AND MADE BY CHRISTIAN AND PAUL MARSHLAND IN SOUTH AFRICA. CHRISTIAN (1966-2020) WAS THE DAUGHTER OF FAMOUS ARTIST WILBUR SMITH (1933-2021). SHE MARRIED PAUL MARSHLAND AND THEY STAYED IN KNYSNA SOUTH AFRICA BEFORE MOVING BACK TO THE UK. THIS CUTE TROLL FAMILY IS THEIR CREATION AND IS MARKED ON THE BACK AND BASES WITH AND INTERTWINED C & P FOR CHRISTIAN & PAUL.
 
THE WHOLE FAMILY HAS WIDE FACES WITH PRONOUNCED EARS AND ONE CANINE TOOTH PORTRUDING FROM UPPER LIP. THESE TROLL FIGURES ARE MADE FROM A CLAY COMPOSITE AND ARE RATHER HEAVY. THEYR WERE HANDCRAFTED BY CHRISTIAN AND PAUL DURING THE LATTER HALF OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY WHILE THE STAYED IN SOUTH AFRICA.

CONDITION: THERE APPEARS TO BE A REPAIRED CRACK ON THE MALES BASE. IT WAS A GOOD REPAIR AND IS ONLY VISIBLE FROM BELOW. OVERALL GOOD CONDITION
 
CHRISTIAN MARSHLAND (1960-2020):
Christian Marsland became embroiled in a spectacular public spat with Wilbur Smith (her dad) in 1993 after she accused him of abandoning them.
Christian Marsland said "Wilbur Smith has made sure his children grew up impoverished and removed from his wealth and lifestyle. He has insulted them and their mother at every turn."
Smith has been accused by his children of being tightfisted with his money, giving his son Shaun an empty wallet for his 21st birthday. While Smith owns mansions around the world, including Cape Town.
She said: "He's made it very plain he doesn't love me. I believe in reincarnation. And I want to be around to see what happens to him in the next life after what he's done. He's picked on his defenceless children, grandchildren and made them feel worthless."
 
WILBUR SMITH (1933-2021):
Wilbur Addison Smith was a Northern Rhodesian-born British-South African novelist specializing in historical fiction about international involvement in Southern Africa across four centuries. Wilbur Smith has authored thirty-two books on Africa. In the early years of Wilbur Smiths writing, he was known primarily in the United Kingdom, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
His first marriage was to Anne Rennie, married July 5, 1957, in Harare (Salisbury), Zimbabwe. The marriage ended in 1962
He then married Jewel Slabbert, from whom he was later divorced.
His third marriage was to a young divorcée named Danielle Thomas. She died from brain cancer in 1999, following a six-year illness.
Smith then met a Tadjik woman named Mokhiniso Rakhimova. The two fell in love and married in May 2000. She was a law student studying at Moscow University and younger than he by 39 years.
Children: Shaun, born on May 21, 1958, and daughter Christian (now Marsland) in 1960 to Smiths first Marriage; Lawrence to Smiths second marriage. Wilbur Smith was estranged from all 3 children and has written all three children out of his will.
Smith has written 27 books, the first of which was When the Lion Feeds.
 
TROLLS:
Trolls are mythical creatures of Scandinavian (especially Norway) folklore, dwelling in isolated areas of rocks, mountains, or caves, and living together in small family units. They are rarely helpful to human beings. They may be somewhat ugly and look slow-witted but are not particularly grotesque and can have a cuteness to them.
The first troll in history was Norwegian and female. She appeared in a Norwegian forest in the 800s, challenging the Viking poet Bragi to a kind of rap battle. Bragi made the best poem and was allowed to escape without the troll killing him.
Originally trolls existed only in Skandinavia. England had goblins and many other creatures, but no trolls. The Norwegian word troll entered the English world in the 19th century when some Scandinavian folk or fairy stories was translated. It was a huge hit, and the Norwegian trolls went viral in Britain and the US! 
If youre attacked by a troll, the best way to survive is to keep talking! Trolls are not too clever. In the story about a boy Askeladden who had an eating contest with a troll, the boy convinces the troll that stabbing yourself in the belly is a great way to renew your appetit
According to folklore trolls are active at night. So keep entertaining the troll till sunrise, and it will turn to stone!
