United States: 1964-D Kennedy Silver Half Dollar

From the United States, a Silver (90%) Kennedy Memorial Half Dollar dated 1964-D (Denver Mint). President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 and this circulation coin was produced in his memory. It is still produced today but in Cu-Ni. The 90% silver coin was only made in 1964 and over the years the silver content was gradually reduced to zero.
