One of the United States Series of 'Silver Bullet Silver Shield' 1 oz Silver Medals. This one, dated 2014, has a depiction of Paul Kruger with hat and pipe. Further information at South African Commemorative Medals.
Silver (0.999). Proof-like with frosted designs. Upright reeded edge. Diameter 39.1 mm. Mass 31.2 gm. Comes encapsulated.
The series of medals was initiated by Chris Duane, founder the American Sons of Liberty Academy, after he had proclaimed that the purchase of silver was both a 'Silver Bullet' to rebel against the elite’s corrupt system and a 'Silver Shield' to protect wealth after the collapse of the US Dollar. It is interesting that the Boer POW engraved coins should have been selected to further inspire this cause.
