United States Peace Dollar 1922 Silver XF (with Rim Nicks)

This lot consists of one (1) United States Peace Silver Dollar dated 1922, an early issue of the iconic Peace Dollar series.

  • Country: United States of America

  • Year: 1922

  • Metal: Silver (.900 fine)

  • Condition: XF (Extremely Fine) with noted rim nicks

  • Diameter: 38.1 mm

Design details:

  • Obverse features the Peace Liberty head design by Anthony de Francisci, with the legend LIBERTY and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST.

  • Reverse shows the eagle perched on a rock, holding an olive branch, with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA E PLURIBUS UNUM ONE DOLLAR.

The coin retains strong remaining detail in Libertys hair and the eagles feathers, consistent with an Extremely Fine grade. There are rim nicks, which are clearly visible in the photos.

A solid, collectible example of a classic U.S. silver dollar, valued for both its historic significance and intrinsic silver content.
