This battery charger is designed to only recharge NiCd and NiMH: 1.2V AAA, AA, C and D size cells and 9V 'PP3' block size batteries. Charges up to 4x AAA, AA, C or D cells at 250mA each and 2x 9V block batteries at 13mA each. Charging time is switch selectable for 3, 6, 9 or 24 hours as indicated on the charging timetable. LEDs indicate charging in progress. when the pre-set time is reached, the charger will automatically switch to trickle charge mode. Cell tester is used to determine the rechargeability and charge condition of AAA, AA, C or D cells. Discharge function is only used on NiCd AAA, AA, C and D cells
