BRASS CALENDAR - 1944 TO 2021
This is an interesting, unusual, highly ornate 84 year brass calendar. Accurate for the years 1944 to 2021.
It has a front plate with a seperate brass dial behind.
The back dial is turned to select a year and month. (Instructions are engraved on the front.)
Not sure of the origin. An 84 year cycle could indicate Roman Catholic Lunar calendar cycles. But the pattern look Eastern (?).
The numbers and letters appear to be hand engraved as the lettering is not as “perfect” as you would expect if it were stamped in.
I have lightly polished the front, but several small, stubborn black marks remain. This does not detract from the beauty of the item though.
It’s certainly something different.

Please remember that some of the items I sell have been well used and loved by many other people and are not “new”. The camera does lie sometimes so read my descriptions carefully. “Excellent” means it looks and feels new. “Good” is good. “Fair” is not so good and “Not Good” is very well used (possibly abused) and extremely well loved in a previous lifetime.
Postage/Packaging and Delivery
P&P is R28 on items which weigh less than 1kg. If the item exceeds 1kg I will usually state the weight and estimate the P&P in the description. Please note that multiple items may weigh more than 1kg. The P&P on multiple orders is cheaper per item but will exceed the R28 quoted above. Please check P&P with me before paying for multiple orders.
Orders will be posted within three working days of confirmation and/or bank clearance of payment.
I live in the Overberg and regularly travel to Cape Town. Should this coincide with your order (or if you are prepared to wait a few days) I could deliver.
Payment My preferred method is Internet Transfer. Should you wish to deposit cash please add R3.50 + 1.03% on total for bank charges. Should you prefer to post or deposit a cheque please allow 10 working days from date of deposit for bank clearance
