UNUSUAL AND COLLECTABLE MULTI-HEART DESIGN LOCKET IN STERLING SILVER. 4 LOCKETS for 4 PHOTOGRAPHS!
This pretty piece is a clever and unusual design of multiple heart lockets in one. The cunning design features a fold-over locking clip that allows 4 hearts to fold into each other so that they create layers that close up into one solid pendant. When open, the 4 lockets look like a 4 leafed clover. Crafted in Mexican sterling silver, the piece comes on a 48 cm solid sterling flat snake link chain. Heavy at 10.80 grams, the pendant measures 31mm long including the bale x 20mm wide x 11mm deep when closed, and when open, 42mm x 45mm. Each picture would be heart-shape to match the pendant and would be approximately 11 mm across x 15 mm length. The piece bears the hallmark 'Mexico' and the 925 hallmark for sterling silver. The cliip that folds over the outside of the four-layer heart arrangement is very firm, clicking firmly and noisily into its spot so that the photographs remain nicely locked in. It is a very special and unusual piece of jewellery and a wonderful different take on a conventional locket. It is not antique or even seriously old. There is a lovely design feature etched into the top of the pendant. Condition generally excellen except for a buff mark or two (I tried to show them in the photographs. A collectable keeper!
