Unusual Antique Burra Bean Nut Vesta Case

This very unusual vesta case has been beautifully made from a Burra Bean nut with white metal mounts (possibly silver). It has a hinged, sprung lid and a striker underneath. The nut has a nice polished patina to it. There are no marks at all, making it difficult to date,but I'm sure it dates to the late 1800's early 1900's. Other than a small split on the side (which doesn't affect it structurally) its in very good condition for it's age. The vesta case measures 5.5cm x 4cm x 2cm.
