UNUSUAL 'JEWELLERY ART' SAPPHIRE AND 925 STERLING SILVER RING. HAND CRAFTED. STUNNING!

This ring is a work of art! Beautifully hand crafted in sterling silver, with a sea shell theme, 6 round-cut African-mined sapphires in lustrous greeny-blues are claw set in a circular frame on the one shoulder, with a teardrop-shaped element that sits on the other shoulder of the ring, reaching over the circle design, as an overlap; although they are both the same height, forming a soft dome. Within the teardrop are 4 smaller round-cut sapphires, also with with a sea-green undertone, surrounded by a border of silver openwork -  a serpentine that surrounds the gemstones. Both elements of the ring head are raised in a cage setting 6mm above the finger, allowing light underneath the stones to maximise the colour reflections from the faceting. Quite a solid piece, and heavy at 4,51grams, the 18mm x 14mm head sits snugly on the simple shank. The 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver appears. A conversation piece to be sure, and a work of art on the hand!
