Unusual Linnware / Linn Ware style ceramic lion figurine doorstop

An unusual ceramic doorstop depicting a sleeping lion or lion cub figurine on a base.

 Mottled green glaze, and the Linnware / Linn Ware style undertones of brown glaze. 

The base is glazed underneath with the same green colour, and underlying brown glaze. 

Unmarked. 

It is possible that this piece was a special order at the pottery. 

The underside has one slight chip, but it does not detract from the appeal of the piece, as it is not visible.

The glaze has worn slightly on the tip of the top ear. Priced accordingly.

A very old and rare piece.
