As photographed.  It is growing on me.  I find the colour combination

very unusual.  I have it on good authority (these guys are brilliant!!)

that this is an unusual Rajasthan carpet. It is made around the area

of Jaipur so it would be classified as an Oriental piece. It is not a 

young piece and has some age to it apparently.  It is a nice size and

measures approximately with the fringes length 207cm and the width

120cm.  Will certainly brighten up the area it is placed in.

Please note on the left side the dye change in the yarn. The weaver

strikes me as being the same.

There are places on the piece that have the cotton base showing.

It is not wear so assumed just the way it is.

Needs a little binding on the side end here. Nominal

Hand knotted

End piece was bent over. Apparently to help straighten you can

put the plastic pieces on it often seen on carpets or rugs I have dealt

with. Would think not likely to find too many of this type of rug around
